Left Brain Exercises in Practicality
At the group's inaugural meeting (after a few years hiatus), it was decided that we should actually "do" something. By "do" we mean have quarterly objectives to develop a tool, utility, module or library that serves a useful purpose.
The idea is that new Python programmers will have the opportunity to learn the language and see tangible results and seasoned Pythoners will be able to adopt a beginner mind and discover how much they don't know.

Right Brain Twitchings of Creative Uselessness
With the above Left Brain out of the way, it would be fun to code something completely useless ... at least it may seem that way initially. The world is replete with useless technology that was designed on purpose, imagine what could happen if you did not try.
Therefore we will coordinate with one another on the Left Brain ideas and attempt to have one objective for the quarter and the Right Brain can be pretty much be a free for all for those that are interested.
